Mattew 6:16 – 18
16. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the* hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
17 . But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
18 . That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret shall reward thee openly

👉This Series aim to help us focus on those words spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ himself in the scriptures, as compared to what others said about him.
👉Fasting Hypocrites*
👉. Fasting is a self denial of a particular pleasure for à period of time to seek God’s  face for supplication.
👉People that fast are considered by the society as spiritual, righteousness and holy . So, men naturally want to exhibits it openly for all to see.

👉But ,Jesus Christ teaches us here that ,this period of consecration is unto God and not men, or else, we lose the reward that goes with the fasting exercise.
👉when we deny ourselves to help others,for example.    – — giving to the poor, families and even strangers. We want men to see us.

👉l encourage you that without much funfare or self agrandissement, Let your givings ,be done in secret
👉And your heavenly Father, that sees in the secret will reward you in the open for all to see.

Lesson of Today:* 👉.
.   Develope only God’s approvals.
. Do not run to impress men.And your rewards will surprise you.
